About the author

Michael Campbell is currently a practicing, bilingual speech-language pathologist. He earned his master’s at The University of New Mexico where he also worked as a research assistant on projects related to bilingual language assessment. In addition, Michael served as a graduate teaching assistant for Medical Spanish and Introductory Spanish courses.

His experience in admissions: Michael worked for four years with an Upward Bound program, coaching high school students on academic success and getting into college. He also served as a Career Mentor to undergraduate students, helping improve their resumes and interview skills. Later, Michael completed an internship at the Institute of International Education’s Office for Latin America managing multiple, high-profile international scholarship programs. Finally, As a former Fulbright Scholar, Michael continues to participate on the in-country selection committee for various Fulbright-García Robles scholarships.
